Gibbs: Reading FC are well placed to challenge

The transfer business Reading have conducted in recent weeks will prove a major boost to their promotion hopes, according to assistant manager Nigel Gibbs.

Royals signed Karl Sheppard early on in the January transfer window, before clinching the signatures of Jason Roberts, Tomasz Cywka and Matthew Connolly thanks to funds made available by incoming owner Anton Zingarevich.
