By Becky Barnes
January 29, 2013

A critically-ill lorry driver has been taken to hospital after he was found unconscious in a lorry which had hit a wall.

Fire crews from Bracknell and Wokingham, plus police and ambulance were called to Downmill Road at approximately 4.30pm today (Tuesday) to reports of a man was unconscious in a lorry, which had collided with a wall.

An ambulance spokesman said he could not speculate whether the man was unconscious before or after the smash but his condition was life-threatening.

The driver was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
