A Birch Hill family’s drug dealing business has been busted after cops found two of the three dealers hiding bags of heroin and cocaine in their pants.

Michael McEwan, 36, of Earlswood, his partner Joanne Hamilton, 39, and their son Andi McEwan, 22, were jailed at Reading Crown Court on Friday, January 29, after admitting possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

Michael McEwan was jailed for four years and three months, Hamilton for four years and Andi McEwan for three years and eight months.

The court heard at around 1pm on Monday, July 20, last year police stopped a green Vauxhall Omega in New Forest Ride in Bracknell where they found a nervous and sweating Andi McEwan.

After searching him they found a bag of white powder hidden in his tracksuit bottoms. He then admitted to having more drugs hidden in his underpants.

After he was arrested tests confirmed the substances in the bags were cocaine and heroin.

Four days later at around 11.35am, traffic cops spotted a gold Triumph Acclaim in The Ring in Bracknell.

They stopped it and found Michael McEwan and Hamilton in the car.

Police found heroin hidden in Hamilton’s underwear. They also found another bag of crack cocaine hidden in the car.

The total amount of drugs found came to around £2,330.

PC Hayley Burns, investigating officer, said: “There have been problems with suspected drug dealing in the Earlswood area of Bracknell for some time, with concerned members of the community reporting noise, disruption and constant coming and going from the McEwans’ home.

“Drug dealing will not be tolerated in Bracknell and these substantial sentences show that it is taken very seriously by the courts.”

PC Michael Foot, neighbourhood specialist officer for Birch Hill and Hanworth, said: “We are very pleased with the outcome of this case.

“I would like to thank the community for reporting issues to the police. Without their help we may not have got such a positive result.

“It highlights the importance of the community and police working together to tackle crime in their neighbourhood.”

What a truly delightful looking bunch! And a charming place to keep their stash. Glad I'm not a customer.
