GCSE results: Ranelagh School

By Hugh Fort
August 31, 2012

A pair  of twins were among 22 hotshots in a ‘great year group’ at Ranelagh School to get a mix of A*s and As in their GSCES.

Lemeul and Jehan Lucan-Wilson were joined by their proud mum Daphne to open their results at the academy school.

Family bragging rights were won by Lemuel with 10 A*s and A, but Jehan was not far behind with eight A*s, two As and a B.

They are both staying at the school to do A-levels.

Jehan said he was the more ‘sciency’ of the two, whereas Lemuel liked English.

The school recorded a 100 per cent pass rate in its 144 pupils, of which 93 per cent gained five A* to C passes, 83 per cent gained passes with English and maths and dramatically improved its GCSE points score.

Headteacher Kathy Winrow said: “I am so delighted with these results. They’re brilliant.

“They really are a great year group and their hard work has really paid off this year.

“We really look forward to seeing them again at for their A-levels.”
