A-level results: Charters School

By Jonathan Low
August 24, 2012

Co-headteacher of Charters School, Martyn Parker, said it was ‘particularly encouraging’ to see an increase in the number of students achieving A*-B grades this year.

He added: “Congratulations to all our Year 13 students who have worked hard with their teachers to achieve another set of good results this year.

“The best news for Charters students is these results give the vast majority of them a range of opportunities for their future; whether it be to continue their education, take a gap year or start employment.”

Alex Paige obtained four A*s in maths, further maths, chemistry and physics, and an A in music.

He said: “I’m amazed and so pleased, and so thankful to all my teachers.”

Angela Holloway is heading up the University of Cambridge after achieving an A* in English literature and As in French and history.

“I’m just really happy – I’m chuffed,” she said.

Director of sixth form Olimpia Morrison said: “This is a strong performance.”
