Unfortunately,T J that is the reality now,brought in by the last shower,endorsed by the present lot.All they are doing is conning and betraying young people and the country.Education is the bedrock of our society and it has been undermined by those in charge.They even admit it by saying we need skilled workers from abroad.If we have such a talented lot of young people how can that be true?

"University" courses are still free at the point of use.The student gets a loan to pay the fees etc which is repayable later when they are earning sufficient to repay it.The only question is that with so many now getting a "degree",the degree becomes worthless.They have been devalued,just as the currency is being debauched by printing money,sorry,"quantitative easing".The system is now a waste of resources.We should return to the system where only 10% of people go to University and received a grant and others went to different grades of tertiary education including part time day release etc.I am quite happy as a taxpayer to pay for the grants because I received one to get my degree.(Chemistry and Economics)

Well for me I'm just hoping my children haven't wrecked my retirement plans by getting into university. With many universities charging £9,000 tuition fees – and that’s before they even think about food, rent and all that other stuff – it would be a total nightmare if my children enter higher education.The tension’s killing me, am I going to get financially syringed for the next three years? Or did the pressure get to my kids, putting me in the clear?
