Fizzers sign up Underwood

11/ 1/2008

Sandhurst Town have appointed former Bracknell boss Jon Underwood as their new Assistant Manager ahead of the weekend’s visit to Chessington & Hook United.

The Fizzers, like fellow strugglers Reading Town who host Bedfont Green at Scours Lane, appear to have put their early season woes behind them with a raft of new signings and can be expected to start a steady climb up the Combined Counties Premier.

Bracknell Town’s caretaker boss Andy Keen hopes to have left-back Adam Kennedy and midfielder Ben Edwards back in contention after injury for his side’s home tie with mid-table Paulton Rovers.

In the Hellenic League Division 1 East, injury-hit Ascot United host Eton Wick and Finchampstead and Wokingham & Emmbrook square up at the Finchampstead Memorial Park.

High-flying Holyport take a break from their league exploits with a home tie against Binfield in the fourth round of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup.
