Ross Samson is leaving London Irish after just one season with the club.
The 24-year-old scrum-half is reported to be dropping down a level to play in the Championship for London Scottish.
Samson, who still had a year on his contract to run, made six starts and eight substitute appearances for Irish.
His only try for them came against his former club Edinburgh in a 20-19 Heineken Cup group defeat at Madejski Stadium last November.
He is one of four players who have been allowed to leave by Exiles director of rugby Brian Smith this summer after originally being signed by former head coach Toby Booth for next season.
Centre Jonathan Spratt, back-row forward Tom Smith will be at Ospreys, while No. 8 Richard Thorpe is reportedly joining Leicester Tigers.
Irish are understood to be keen on taking South African-born Stuart Commins from Northampton Saints as short-term cover for the scrum-half position.
