London Irish to visit Munster for pre-season friendly

London Irish are to play Nottingham, Newport Gwent Dragons and Munster in three Friday night pre-season games in August.

Exiles will start by entertaining Championship club Nottingham at Sunbury on August 10 before visiting Rodney Parade to face Newport Gwent Dragons on August 17.

Irish's final match before the new Aviva Premiership season begins will be against Munster at Musgrave Park on August 24.

All three friendlies are scheduled to kick off at 7.30pm.

London Irish director of rugby, Brian Smith said: "The three matches will provide the squad with tough tests leading into the double header on 1st September.

"The three sides all play different brands of rugby so we will get challenged in different areas of our game, as well as getting the chance to improve our match sharpness."
