Bracknell Bees probe racist abuse allegation
By Hugh FortOctober 22, 2012
Bosses of Bracknell's ice hockey team have launched an investigation into allegations a fan racially abused players and threw an item at the players at the game last night.
The allegations were made after Bracknell Bees' emphatic 8-1 win over the Sheffield Steeldogs at The Hive.
The complaint is being investigated by the club's rink management team and the club is asking for anyone who saw or heard anything to come forward.
Owner Katie Eleftheriou said: "Please remember that although passions may run high on the ice, we expect our supporters not tarnish the excellent name of the club or bring the sport into disrepute and we would like to thank the fans and players from both teams for the way in which they professionally and respectfully acknowledged each other at the end of this tough battle."

Lets not put a dampener on an excellent 4 yes 4 point weekend for the Bees, with wins against the Swindon Wildcats and the Sheffield Steeldogs. After last season we need to shout about these from the rafters.

If I had heard something I would have reported it. I hope they find the fan that threw the food as they are not the sort of people we want at the games.
