Bracknell Bees have confirmed the signing of 23-year-old netminder Carl Ambler from Romford Raiders.

Ambler was a member of the Great Britain Under-20s squad that won the 2005 Division 2 World Championships in Romania.

His previous clubs in the English Premier League include Chelmsford Chieftains and Slough Jets.

Bees' new player-coach Claude Dumas said: “Carl is an extremely focused player, who shows up every game.

He had a great second half of last season with Romford and we expect him to carry this form on this year for the Bees.

"Carl is looking forward to the coming season and he's ready for the challenge.”

Bees still have a vacancy for one more netminder following the departures this summer of Gregg Rockman to Slough Jets and Tom Annetts to Basingstoke Bison.
