BRACKNELL Bees begin their English Premier League and Cup campaign this weekend after a successful five-day training camp at Basingstoke.

The Bees visit Swindon in the EPL Cup tomorrow (5.30pm) before entertaining Telford at the Hive in the league on Sunday (6pm).

Bracknell suffered a 7-3 defeat in a challenge match against Basingstoke Bison, who they had been training with all week, last Saturday but still looked sharp.

Coach Dwight Parrish iced a full squad – minus Kurt Reynolds and Greg Martyn – and they put on a good display with goals from Sam Oakford, Jamie Line and Matt Ford.

British defenceman Reynolds, 24, was unable to feature due to a hiccup involving his transfer from Atlantic Junior Hockey League side Hartford Junior Wolf Pack.

Parrish confirmed that Adam Bicknell will be the Bees captain again this season.
