Reading FC defender on the verge of loan move

By Jonny Fordham
February 11, 2013

Kaspars Gorkss is wanted on loan by several Championship clubs.

The Reading centre-back hasn't traveled with the squad to Dubai and is hoping to seal a temporary move to interested parties Wolves or Blackburn.

The Latvia captain was a rock for Royals at the back last season, but he has fallen down the pecking order at Madejski Stadium.

"The fact that he wasn't good enough for QPR in the Prem 2 years ago tells its own story."

...but they replaced him with Ferdinand and I'd choose Kaspars over him any day.

Okay he was never the quickest, but I don't think he was the sole reason why we were leaking goals...proven by the fact we now play 4-5-1, have a proper right back and work more defensively as a team.

I wish him all the best. He served us really well last season and continued to be supportive during this, despite losing his place.

Played well for us last season, but not even in the top 3 for POTS.

Good luck Kaspars!

Still to my mind he should've beaten Pearce for POTS last year.

Good luck to him.
