Shaun Cummings signs new deal with Reading FC
December 05, 2012
Shaun Cummings has penned a new deal keeping him at Madejski Stadium until 2015.
The 23-year-old right-back has made seven appearances for Reading this season.
"I'm very excited to remain at a club that has such ambition in the Premier League," said Cummings.
"To have already played against the likes of Man United and Liverpool is great experience at my age is great so I can't ask for anything more.
"Everyone wants to fight for their shirt and play in the Premier League - and everyone knows what we've got to achieve to stay here."

Don't be too harsh on the manager concerning this topic. He's dutifully playing the role of the boards human shield (in all fairnes what other option does he have?).

McDermott admits January is a difficult time to purchase players, but he has targeted a couple of loan deals that will help the Royals in their battle against relegation. "We need players who have played at this level and know the league," he said. "If we can get one or two players who know the league off by heart it's good because they can hit the ground running.
That is what McD is saying now, why not get them in the start of premiership season. Talk about shutting the stable door when the horse has bolted. Sorry McD bit late in the season to go on about selection. It looks like back to the championship next.
