By Jonny FordhamJuly 24, 2012
Pavel Pogrebnyak will make his first appearance in a Reading shirt against Sheffield Wednesday tonight (8pm kick-off, live updates on getreading.co.uk).
The Russia striker will play the second half against Dave Jones' recently promoted Championship side.
Simon Church will also get a run-out after he proved his fitness following a thigh strain.
However, right-back Chris Gunter, goalkeeper Alex McCarthy and midfielder Jem Karacan will all sit out
Manager Brian McDermott said: "We'll do the same as we did in the last game with two sides of 45 minutes each.
"All the strikers will get 45 minutes, Pavel will play 45 minutes in the second half.
"In the first half we might play a different shape, but the second half will be 4-4-2."
