Reading Vets at Highfield Park fun day

Some famous names from Reading Football club's recent past will be lacing on their shooting boots at a charity five-a-side tournament on Sunday

Phil Brown, Mick Gooding, Michael Gilkes, Kevin Watson, Tom Jones, Neville Roach and Barry Hunter will be playing at Highfield Park, Heckfield in aid of local charity OutoftheBlue and The British Heart Foundation.

OutoftheBlue was formed following the death of Reading FC fan Robert Sebbage who died after being stabbed while on holiday with pals in Greece.

The Reading Vets side starts their campaign with a game against the team from OutoftheBlue at 12pm.

Facilities on the day include refreshments, barbecue, hog roast, treasure hunt, children’s races, archery, bouncy slide and other activities.

Entrance to the event is free of charge and there is ample car parking.
