Reading FC swoop for Pavel Pogrebnyak

Reading are reportedly close to completing the signing of Russian international Pavel Pogrebnyak on a free transfer.
It is suggested the 28-year-old, who spent the latter half of last season on loan at Premier League rivals Fulham, is to put pen to paper on a four-year deal worth a suggested £65,000 a week at Madejski Stadium.
GetReading understands former VfB Stuttgart forward Pogrebnyak has turned down a three-year, £50,000-a-week contract to stay at Craven Cottage, where he score six goals in 12 games for the West London outfit having joined on a short-term deal from the German Bundesliga in January.
Pogrebnyak has recently represented Russia at the 2012 European Championships, making a substitute appearance during his country's 1-0 defeat to Greece on Saturday.
