Reading FC can't take Doncaster win for granted

By Jonny Fordham
March 13, 2012

Reading will be without Jimmy Kebe as they travel to Doncaster Rovers tonight looking for their ninth win in a row (7.45pm kick-off).

Kebe has returned to light training following a knee injury and could be back for Barnsley on Saturday.

But for now, Brian McDermott will have to cope without him for the fourth game in a row and he believes that 23rd placed Rovers will be a threat, despite their relegation battle.

And if Royals avoid defeat, then they will leapfrog West Ham United and go second.

McDermott said: "Individually we know that they have got talent and they have put in some form together.

"(Their manager) Dean Saunders will absolutely believe they will get out of trouble.

"They try to pass and play. We try and get behind teams and make the right pass, whatever it is. They have got players that can hurt us, we're well aware of that."

Defender Matthew Connolly (ankle) will see a specialist today regarding his injury and Andy Griffin (hamstring) is also out.

Likely Royals line-up: Federici, Cummings, Pearce, Gorkss, Harte, McAnuff (c), Leigertwood, Karacan, Robson-Kanu, Hunt, Roberts.

@Big P have you been to any Reading games? The amount of times he draws a foul it's no surprise he picks up some injuries along the way. We are certainly a poorer team without him.

@Big P Getting sick and tired of the Kebe knockers. You must be an armchair supporter as Kebe's performances since signing his new contract have been marked by his tracking back and defending. No sign of cant be bothered there.

Getting sick and tired of "sick-note / can't be bothered" Kebe.

McDermott wants to tell him to pull his finger out.

"Defender Matthew Connolly (ankle) will see a socialist today regarding his injury"
