By Jonny Fordham
July 27, 2010

Kevin Doyle and Marcus Hahnemann will return to Madejski Stadium with Wolverhampton Wanderers tonight (8pm kick-off).

Brian McDermott’s Royals will face Mick McCarthy’s Wolves in the only home friendly of Reading's Championship build-up.

McDermott's men have so far won four of their five pre-season games and lost the other.

And you can follow all the action here live with Royals reporter Jonny Fordham from 7pm.

Speaking ahead of the game, McDermott said: “It's another good game and we'll be playing in front of our own fans.

“I spoke to Kevin the other day and he’s looking forward to coming back to the Madejski and I’m sure Marcus is too. They should both get a good reception from the fans.”

McDermott will make one change from the squad that beat Wycombe Wanderers 2-1 on Saturday with England Under-21 Alex McCarthy replacing Ben Hamer as the back-up keeper.

Reading from: Federici, Griffin, Mills (c), Pearce, Williams, Tabb, Howard, Kebe, Sigurdsson, McAnuff, Hunt, Long, McCarthy, Karacan, Church, Robson-Kanu, Anotonio, Gunnarsson, Taylor.

The odds for tonight's game with StanJames are: Reading 6/4, the draw 12/5 and a Wolves win at  11/8. Sign up here for your free £25 (evens or greater) matched bet.

You and Jonny suit each other Expom, pair of lightweights. He complains about going to games for free and you make decisions on my team from the land of the long cloud.

Financially you both bring nothing to my club, and therefore your opinion of me is worthless.

Hope this helps.

I was chatting to your favourite journalist Jonny last night on the Cover it Live. Did you wake up this morning with the duvet still stuck to you thinking about the win reading had last night?

Welcome back Doyle? Did he go to New Zealand then? I fully expected your response Expom, you are a lightweight after all and never go to games.

The Reading fans who went last night utterly disgust me, it was only a few short years ago that proper Reading fans were pelted with objects, assaulted by Wolves fans and left unprotected by Police who laughed in their faces. No apology was forthcoming by the club, and RFC distanced itself from backing up its own support.

Still, some of you lot went last night. Thankfully the majority of decent Reading fans shunned the game last night, fully aware of the history between the clubs. Numbers were low and I hope Doyle buggered off with a flea in his ear.

I can't believe the people that moan on here, if you didn't want to go then fine, stop bleating on about it, i went last night it was a good display from Reading and a good excercise for pre season, good to see some old players etc too.

Hello everyone, i see some of the old school are throwing their toys out of the cot. What a wonderful way to start the season on a high note again lots of friendly banter as usual. Welcome back Doyle and enjoy the night mate and i wait for a good slagging off now by some of the old school for putting that in lol.

Remember now Royals support - boycott the game and let the club know we wont stand for this rubbish.

Well no Hahnemann in the squad but Doyler starts in what seems a poor Wolves starting XI..

Should be a Royals win!!

Must say I'm boycotting the game due to past treatment at Wolves and the fact it's an utter sh*te friendly in general.

Sorry pinju, I over-egged it a bit. Still, I have made my point.

Samwell, I shall be down the pub - spending my imaginary dole money. Ho. Ho. dazzap said he will go, if his parents will let him.

Rumblesticks ahoy!

Never understood why anyone would pay money to see a friendly match.

Now you're just babbling Bushes...nobody really gives a stuff about friendlies, so you're asking people not to give a stuff about something which nobody really gives a stuff about anyway. To re-iterate, nobody gives a stuff.

I would recommend to all Reading support that you boycott this game, especially after the dreadful treatment given to proper Reading support a few years ago in the play-offs. The kiddies on here can go though, they havent been supporting Reading that long.

As I recall no apology was ever given to Reading support from Wolves, so stuff em. Bad move RFC, playing this rubbish in a ‘friendly’.
