Ivar Ingimarsson could make his return from a torn hamstring in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Hogwood Park on Wednesday.

Royals reserves are set to play  Kevin Dillon’s Aldershot Town, and club captain Ingimarsson has been pencilled in for a return to action for the first time since picking up his injury in March.

Manager Brian McDermott said: “We have a game against Aldershot the day after the Wolves game and my plan was to play him in that match.

“Whether he will be ready or not I don’t know just yet. He’s been training really well and that’s the plan for now.”
