al- sorry ted bundy, what specific things tell you everyone knows nothing about football, football is a simple game, with the aim of scoring more goals than your opponent. if your so knowledgable then please tell us more? such as what other aim is there?

I don't no about you my fellow commentators ,but i'm quite looking foreward to next season. We'll be playing teams that we haven't played for a while!Swindon,Bristol Rovers,Exeter,Brentford and possibly Kevin Dillons team Aldershot. Is that a groan i hear? Well as things are going RFC are moving ever closer to this scenario. It is moving ever closer to probability than possibility!Does anyone remember how to get to the 'shots' ground? The Chairmans got the team in this mess, let him sort it out.

How right you are Take A Chill Pill!

Madejski would do well to realise that the name Doug Ellis is rarely remembered for doing any good and the way things are going the same fate will befall the name of our own chairman.

Out of money, out of touch, out of the door! could well be the slogan to appear on the banners when the, up until now remarkably patient, Royals' fans finally say enough is enough!

quite clearly the chairman loves the lime light and is everywhere when things are going well, but when the chips are down as they are he is no where to be found IMO he is quite clearly a coward who is not prepared to face the supporters head on who pump there hard earned cash into the club and explain what is happening to our beloved club...

I agree with Jamie as well... we are worst off than when BR was sacked and even though we had a great result at liverpool i hate seeing the ball being whacked long i liked the way BR played eve though we weren't very threating we were getting there and if i was being selfish i would like to see a mixture of the way BR played and the way BM plays..

   Jonny,

How you have the patience to talk to these stupid people on this web chat thing, i've just gone through and read it and these people just say the same thing over and over again! Not one person sounded like they knew anything about football! Other teams hate Reading because of our fans, I can see why!

althoughj i agree that we mised out on a couple of fantastic managerial prospects that came available over the xmas period, i like mcd's way of playing and i think we will start to pick up points. the problem lies with the fact that this squadisn't good enough at this level and the teams around us now seem to be picking up more points than us ipswich, doncaster plymouth, sheff w are all winning now and are already a 5 point gap has opened, can we close this? only time will tell

We can speculate all we like and as football supporters that is our right. However there is something very odd going on in the world of SJM. He came on the local radio earlier in the week bemoaning his inability to sell the club!

He is a greedy man - he wants too much. If the price and terms were right he could have sold the club in 2007, 2008 or 2009. The value is probably now half and going down ( like the club)!

Why does no-one ever believe their club will be relagated?

He alone was the reason for our success now he is solely responsible for our demise. The name Doug Ellis comes to mind.

Out of money, out of touch out of the door, please.

Jamie is spot in and anyone with common sense can see it. What a shame that the Chairman and his business managers are so blind.

What is so amazing is that Reading fans just seem prepared to accept the way things are. In most other clubs there would have been very public demonstrations against the chairman a long time ago.

I think we are more direct under McD than Rodgers.

Whilst I thought sacking Rodgers was a little hasty - I do like the way we are playing - we look more threatening.

We have 21 games to go & i reckon we need 30 pts to be safish!

Barnsley, Plymouth, Sheff Wed, Newcastle at home are all winnable imo - get 7 or 8 pts from these and pick up the odd point away and we will be OK.

Changing manager again could upset things further - what we need is stability and McD has done that. We play much more direct & Coppell like football and his subs & tactics have been good. Notts F are title chasing side and with a tad more luck & Gylfi taking pens we could have got more from a game most would have expected to lose anyway.

So get behind the team & manager - C'mon URZZZZZ

I'm with Russell on this one. I think we will pull away from danger now. You have to remember how well Forest are playing at the moment too. Unbeaten in 18 League games before we played them, 12 of those were wins.

Things are improving. Apart from the Plymouth debacle, I think we're getting better evey game.

I know it looks bad at the moment, but am i the only one who still feels positive? I can see the improvement in the team under Mcd and am fairly sure in say 3-4 weeks time we will have picked up a number of points and getting ourselves to safety. I think we are more than capable of staying in this division. All of those calling for a new manager will fail to take on board it may take another month for the team to change again to new ideas systems etc whilst under the current caretaker things are just on the turn can anyone else feel this?

   Jonny,

Do you agree the sacking of Brendan Rodgers was untimely, given that all we've done since is put a chief scout in place who, excluding a great FA Cup win over Liverpool, has done no better than the man he succeeded?

Just a brief look at Sheffield Wednesday and their quick thinking in bringing in Alan Irvine, back to back wins since, and their next three fixtures look good as well - and then you look at our disfunctional board and wonder where we're heading. League 1 is where.

Your thoughts appreciated.
