Reading FC 'Web Chat Wednesday' to stay

By Jonny Fordham
November 25, 2009

Web Chat Wednesday will definitely be a permanent fixture at Tessa Towers after today’s successful trial run.

So thank you everyone who got involved asking questions ranging from who Brendan Rodgers is hoping to sign before tomorrow’s emergency loan deadline to what the best pies are in the Mad Stad press box.

Hopefully in the future I will be able to twist the arm of the main man himself Mr Rodgers to get involved and answer some of your questions online.

You can also get involved in the action on match days (Home away and abroad) in exactly the same way if you can’t make the game.

I’ll be blogging live from Pride Park as Royals travel to Derby County on Saturday (3pm kick off), bringing you all the latest team news and all the action on the pitch and off it.

And this weekend’s game is definitely a winnable fixture for a rejuvenated Royals side who are now unbeaten in their last three with seven points from nine.

Reading have won the last five fixtures between the two sides and scored am impressive 15 goals in the process.

Pride Park however, will also hold dark memories for many Reading fans after the team were relegated from the Premier League despite a mesmerising 4-0 win against The Rams in 2008.

Rodgers’ hunt for a loan striker to bolster his crocked attack seems to have hit the buffers right now, but Shane Long’s return to fitness is at least one saving grace.

Simon Church is also hopeful of getting over a hip injury he picked up against Blackpool.

But Goal-hero Grzegorz Rasiak is a player high on confidence right now, and who would bet against the big Pole returning to his old club and scoring Reading’s winner.

Derby won’t be a push over however, and Royals must not be complacent after finally finding the form expected of them at the beginning of the season.

Tessa Towers? Wasn't sounds like the 'star' of a certain kind of film.
Say what you think, Reading

I think 'Tessa Towers' is the building where the Reading Post is? Although it's hardly a tower

The pies at Madejski are disgusting. The balti pies at Coventry though are very nice. I did hear though the food for journos at the Madejski is much like fine dining!

By the way who is Tessa Towers and will she be standing in for Jonny Fordham if he goes away?
