Reading FC's Armstrong is back

November 10, 2009

Chris Armstrong will make his comeback from injury tonight as the reserve side take on Bristol City at Cherrywood Road, Farnborough (7pm kick-off).

Last season’s player of the year has featured just once this campaign, in the 5-1 Carling Cup win over Burton Albion.

Armstrong was ruled out of the latter stages of last season after undergoing surgery on a knee injury and the 27-year-old went under the knife again in August to clean up the joint.

Shaun Cummings and Hal Robson-Kanu will also start for Nigel Gibbs' side.

Good to have Chris A back from injury as it will provide competition amongst the fullbacks.

I like Bertrand he has quality but I always feel he is not quite giving 100% its as if he has one eye on a return to Chelsea.. perhaps its just me.. Maybe he can play left midfield he seems to be able to deliver a cross or two?

Happy with Tabb at right back, to be fair he works hard and has application that some of the younger players should take a look at!!

Where is that Striker BR?

Can we have Bertrand play on the right and Armstrong on the left?

Get the boy back in the team now. Vastly superior to Bertrand in my opinion.

Hurray! I'm gonna buy a flag. Sorry, Shorey >>>>>> Armstrong. Sorry. I'm depressed and am still (re)living 2006.
