Jonny writes: Predicting the outcome of Reading’s games so far this season has been a bit of a nightmare.

Royals have yet to string two back-to-back wins together in the Championship this season, but this is surely the game when they manage to do that and win at home in the league for the first time in 17 games.

Another win before the international break will put their season back on track and give Brendan Rodgers more breathing space after coming under added pressure with poor results.

Ipswich are under-performing right now, but their first win last weekend will give them added confidence. That said still, I’m going for a 2-0 home win.

The last time I wrote that 'we are terrible' I was shouted down. I think the concensus was 'we could have won'. Yes we've had our moments in the last few games, but against sides as bad as us you will always get chances. Yes, perhaps I go too far, but it is a reaction to the rubbish coming out of 'the club'. This side is more likely to lose than win, and I think we deserve better from all concerned. No more bull, just admit we are going no-where with this set-up.

Madjeski, get rid of this idiot Rodgers and Hammond and on the wages you save bring in a decent manager, someone like Curbishley or even better Alan Shearer, give the club some identity because at present we are the laughing stock of the division. You dont need a director of football.

This team is nothing short of disgraceful compared to what Steve Coppel left behind, to young to soft, and with no idea, the fault lies with you Madjeski show you are man enough to deal with it as if your manager thinks the last two weeks have been good as far as results are concerned, 2 losses 1 draw 1 win 4 points from 12, then we are down and buried.    I have been saying it for ages, Long is an an attacking Midfielder, as soon as he replaced Rasiak we looked less of a threat. This was not a bad performance and lets face it we came from behind. It is possible that we could be starting a run of undefeated games...... :-)

If we don't get the world class resignation we'll have to cough up for the world class sacking.Defensive minded football at home will get us relegated.

The first half was complete garbage culminating in gifting yet another soft goal. The second started well and there was the look of a team actually putting some effort in and creating chances. Trouble is, nobody in the team can hit the target, the miss by Church after the penalty claim sums us up. We do need a proven striker on loan .... and yes Kitson does fit the bill. Also, why is James Henry still on loan when he's badly needed back here. The same thing happened last year. If he's been offered a two year deal he's obviously still considered to be a part of the club. Let's face it we've got plenty of players that really DO need to go out on loan and learn how to score again. The last couple of seasons has seen big clubs relegated and if we don't get a reality check soon then we'll be heading that way.

Hate to be the one to spread doom and gloom, but that is the worst start to Reading's season for 22 years.

Well done SJM.

To be fair, on another day. we would have scored a hatful. We were much the better side, and only conceded because of rank poor defending around our six yard box. Long needs to be farmed out on loan, or sold. We were much less effective once he replaced Rasziak.

Goals win games is one of the most over used cliches in the football language - but it is so true.

The only thing wrong at Reading at present is that we are not taking the opportunities - ultimately that will have to change to avoid the spectre of relegation. Simple solution is to get a loaner in and I can think of one that springs to mind and he plays at Stoke 1 in 5 games!

Thought we played OK on Saturday but we played better against Cardiff & Leicester and got nothing so a point is better than nothing.

Marek had a poor game but I like the shape so we should persevere it - hey I even think Jay Tabb at right back is working! The reason for it is that the boy has application and determination to do his best -- if only some of the others showed the same drive, coupled with obvious ability they have we would move up the league.

OK so the performances have been better after QPR murdered us! However, we must start finding the back of the net at home! Three league goals all season is a disgrace. In my mind we should give him until christmas and if we are still in the bottom 4 or 5 with this patchy form he must go! If our home form improves and we inch away from the bottom 4 or 5 then he should stay. Mr M must find some money in January. Attendances are holding at the moment but all the hard work of the last 5 years will have been all destroyed if we go down and league one WOULD be a disaster! We do not have to do a Charlton, Norwich or Southampton. We have punched above our weight but we are better than the bottom 3. Look at Blackburn, Fulham, Wigan, Burnley, Hull and Bolton are clubs who have a similar level of support and look where they are we can certainly aim for them. We seem to be too powder puff in front of goal. Things must improve. This home run is just not on any more! The club is well run BUT think about what would happen if we went down. Crowds of about 10,000 versus 18,000 in the championship...

Mr Toad you might be happy watching Reading play in the lower leagues, i think the other 20,000 plus fans want to watch premier football again, see some good cup runs. See Reading beat Liverpool again. Watching that type of football certainly gets your heart racing, does'nt it. For once you could see the whole town behind the club when they were playing premier football people were proud to say they were from Reading. Now you may be looking at the old days that resemble Elm park lower league football wow thats great for the kids to talk about. You can see them supporting other teams because Reading are not playing good football. The buck stops with JM, in stead of buying that defender from Doncaster for 2 million, they could have got a good striker for that. You do not have to spend millions of pounds on one player like Crouch. For what Crouch cost Coppell could have brought a whole lot of talented players for that. Coppell has got the gift for sorting out good players for a good price, i still believe that is the reason he has gone no money to spend on players. Mr Toad if you like watching lower league football go and see Oxford, you must be easily pleased. Yes you must have been watching other premier games when Reading played, whan i saw them play they did more than punch above there weight they kicked up and showed that they were very good at the premier football with the right investment mate. They are paying the price now of not enough investment from when they finished the first season in the premiership. That comes down to JM again.

Expom, what league table are you looking at? We are 22nd with 14pts, Sheff Wed are 14th on 17pts. One win separating 8 places!

"....pay the wages you need to bring in some good players." Like Hull City & Pompey have & are now facing bankruptcy & relegation? So League One beckons? So what? I'd rather watch Reading in League One than no league. It's about time people got a grip & realised we've been punching above our weight for the past 4 or 5 seasons, & we're now playing at our level.

Every corner saw all the Town players in their box defending, whilst Reading had 4 players outside their box doing nothing. Every corner they took had Tabb marking their tall players on the goal line. Now I'm not a coach or a tactician, but come on it's obvious guys....

Neither team looks like a relegation team, but the points don't lie. We need midfielders that are willing to attack the box, we need defenders who will die before the opposition cross the ball and above all we need a striker who can attack & score.

We looked best when Kebe was on the ptich, which says it all really...

I read BR's comments."We Deserved More" I also noticed in the commentaries and stats. Wide to the right, Wide to the left. Over the top, I guess lucky at times that the boys hit the bars.! I might suggest the coaches get to practicing quick feet and short passing around the penalty area. The number of on target and off target is very poor at this stage of the season.

Now to the Head Honcho's. Don't you think it's time the supporters Desrve More ? !!!!!
