Reading Reserves 4 Swansea Reserves 0

By Jonny Fordham
October 21, 2009

Abdulai Bell-Baggie scored twice for Reading Reserves and club vice-captain Alex Pearce also got on the score-sheet in South Wales this afternoon.

Bell-Baggie was joined by Royals Academy team-mate Jacob Walcott in netting for the second-string in their totesport.com Combination encounter at the Gnoll.

The 18-year-old striker fired home from close range just before the break to double Reading’s lead after centre-back Pearce nodded in a bullet header from a Jake Taylor corner on eight minutes.

Bell-Baggie doubled his personal tally in the 72nd minute, again from close range, before substitute Walcott rounded-off the rout just minutes from time.

Reading Reserves: Ben Hamer, Jack Mills, John Goddard, Oliver Kelly (Harry Harding, 86), Alex Pearce, Angus Macdonald, Jake Taylor, Marek Matejovsky, Mitchell Bryant (James Rowe, 76), Abdulai Bell-Baggie, Hal Robson-Kanu (Jacob Walcott, 64).

Subs not used: Dean Santangelo, Kynan Isaac.

If I was Marek, I'd just walk out if Rodgers continues to stay here and "manage". The bloke's a buffoon with a big watch and silly jumpers who went on a "how to speak manager nonsense whilst attempting to baffle fans" course obviously. Get out now why you have the chance Marek, I wouldn't hold it against you son.

Playing Marek in the reserves with the kids and not even putting him in the first team squad, a struggling one at that. Strewth. Look forward to Brenda's new book on world class man management skills and motivational techniques.

oh well BR can claim credit for this whilst blaming players in first team for picking themselves-deciding upon tactics, etc.
