Reading's Premier League dream is now over – at least for one season.

It means come 3pm every other Saturday afternoon Royals fans will have to settle for watching their heroes pitting their wits against the likes of Barnsley’s Kayode Odejayi, Burnley’s Kyle Lafferty and Sheffield Wednesday’s Francis Jeffers as opposed to witnessing the silky skills, trickery and guile of superstars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Cesc Fabregas, Steven Gerrard and Dimitar Berbatov.

In our commemorative 16-page special, free with today's Reading Evening Post, we look back over the last two seasons and Nick Ive picks his Best and Worst Premiership XI's from two years of top flight football.

Reading may now longer be among the country’s elite, but during their spell there they gave everyone some wonderful times.

Thanks for the memories.
