Hanworth Villa FC 5 Sandhurst Town FC 0

For the second year running the Fizzers made it through to a senior non-league cup final as they reached the last two of the Southern Combination Cup.

However, this was not to be their year and after a very creditable performance, the result was not a real reflection of the game.

Sandhurst had the major chunk of the possession but failed to find the net, whereas Hanworth were very clinical in their finishing and were 3-0 up at half-time.

Their best effort was a Dan Jewell effort from the edge of the box on 35 minutes which struck the post, while Chris Wateridge went close a few minutes later.

Sandhurst started the second half brightly, but were left needing to chase the game.

This inevitably left holes at the back and Hanworth scored twice on the break.

The last 10 minutes saw the Hanworth goal under siege, but fine efforts from Adam Belmaine, Josh Briant and Jewell all came to nothing.

Sandhurst took a lot of pride in their performance and their heads were held high despite the scoreline.
