After being postponed three times in the last seven days, Binfield finally played their Hellenic Challenge Cup semi-final on Monday night, and booked their third final place of the season in the process.
It was the Division 1 West side that had the best early opportunity, blasting a volley over, before Ian Davies struck the post twice.
But soon after Moles had the lead as Davies won a penalty and goalkeeper Dan Weait, following recent spot kick success in shoot-outs, blasted home from 12 yards.
By half time, the Moles had scored three more as Amateurs struggled to get out of their own half and the match was over as a contest.
Danny Wing played a great one-two with Carl Davies before unselfishly squaring for Ian Davies to score.
The two Davies’ up front then created the third as Ian turned provider for Carl to finish from six yards. And when Ian Davies was pulled down in the box three minutes before half-time, Carl Withers took the ball and blasted his fourth goal of the season.
The second half was inevitably a less intense affair, but on the hour, Ian Davies had a second goal – his 48th of a prolific season – with Danny Wing again the provider from a surging run into the box.
Sub Jake Butler then scored his third Binfield goal as Ian Davies went on a mazy run, evading three tackles before pulling the ball back for Butler to smartly finish from eight yards.
The Moles now face Highworth Town on Bank Holiday Monday at Newbury FC in what will be their last match of an already hugely successful season.
