Bracknell Town FC 0 North Leigh FC 9

By Tom Canning
March 25, 2010

Bracknell Town surrendered their Zamaratto League status on Tuesday night with a second 9-0 capitulation in four days, this time at the hands of North Leigh at Larges Lane.

The writing was on the wall after just 15 minutes when captain Paulo Cicero conceded a needless penalty that Stuart Hole converted for the visitors, but David Tuttle’s side had a great chance to equalise though with a penalty of their own.

Striker Jemal Forde-Small, however, inexplicably hoofed the ball over the bar, clearing the protective netting behind the goal at the Larges Lane end.

The Robins went in two down at the break thanks to a Kieran Sanders goal on the stroke of half-time, and a miserable second period saw a further seven fly in, including three in the opening 11 minutes after the break.

Last night’s relegation ends Bracknell Town’s eight-year association with step four football that has seen glorious FA Cup runs, county cup finals and nail-biting relegation scraps, but does afford the club the opportunity to re-group and re-build at a lower level.

Bracknell Town: D.Smith, Bruce, Lavine, Elliott, G.Smith, Bradshaw, Cicero, Dean, Blatchford, MacDonald, Forde-Small. Subs: Knowles, Abbott, Rockfeller, Richardson.

The players are rubbish, the manager is a joke - Get players and a manager in, who will stop Bracknell becoming the ultimate embarassment!
