The only way is up for Bracknell Town after a 3-1 defeat at AFC Totton left them rooted to the bottom of the table.

Robins’ keeper Max Aneke saved a 14th-minute penalty and Nathan Jack gave Bracknell the lead after new boy Richard Shittu – brother of Bolton Wanderers defender Danny – played him in on 41 minutes.

Totton came at Bracknell in the second-half, and when they were awarded a second penalty on the hour, Mike Gosney made no mistake.

James Taylor wrapped it up for Totton with a brace on 65 and 89 minutes.

But new Sandhurst Town boss Jon Underwood was celebrating his first Combined Counties Premier Division victory as Fizzers boss thanks to a 2-0 win over Bedfont at Bottom Meadow.

Ascot United hammered title rivals Wokingham & Emmbrook 4-1 in Division 1 East of the Hellenic League at Cantley Park thanks to a hat-trick from Sam McIntyre and a penalty from Jon Bennett. Richard Bland got the consolation goal for the Satsumas.

Finchampstead beat Holyport 2-1, while Binfield bowed out of the Challenge Cup, despite coming from behind to force extra time with Almondsbury Town at Stubbs Lane.

Tim Walsh put the Moles 1-0 up at the break, but Almondsbury went 2-1 up before Adam Crittenden equalised from the penalty spot in the fifth minute of injury time.

But heartbreak was just around the corner, as, despite being down to 10-men, Almonds broke away to snatch a 3-2 victory in extra-time.
