Perfect 10 for Keltar
By Adam Lee19/ 6/2008
Keltar Vigo put the disappointment of their opening loss behind them by storming to a 10-0 win over The Imps in week two of the Bracknell Forest Standard Summer League.
New boys The Imps showed plenty of spirit, but Keltar’s dominance showed.
Rob Candlish was on fire for Keltar, grabbing five of the goals, while Chris Wyatt (2), Dan Collis, Stuart Clapson and Ashley Todd were also on the scoresheet.
Manor Old Boys, though, stay top of the table following a hard-fought 2-0 win over FC Royals.
Royals caused the league leaders plenty of problems, but goals either side of the break from Sean Davies and Paul Baxter earned Manor the points.
3M FC are hot on their heels as they made it two wins from two by beating league-debutants Unreal Madrid 2-1.
Mark Tyler and Phil Norton netted for 3M, but Darren Large’s goal for Unreal Madrid made for a nervy finish.
Victorious Secret are off to a flier as they defeated Norfolk and Hope 5-0.
Matt O’Brien and Patrick Anderson scored a brace apiece, while Ed Carpenter grabbed the other goal as Victorious Secret moved up to third in the table.
