A TOP score of 68 from Gareth Jones proved to be in vain as Wokingham 2nd fell to a 35-run loss at Falkland 2nd, a result which means they are now 28 points behind leaders Tring Park in Division 3B.
The Oaks struggled to take wickets in the field, with Falkland going on to post 223-6 in 52 overs.
They were then dismissed for 188 in the 46th over.
A knock of 84 from Mark Shepherd was not enough to prevent Finchampstead 2nd from falling to a three-wicket home defeat against British Airways in Division 2A.
The high-scoring encounter saw Finches post a score of 276-9 after winning the toss and electing to bat.
Adam Davey also chipped in with 41 as the hosts looked to have set their opponents – who were visiting the village for the first time – a daunting run chase.
British Airways, however, made light work of the total, with the winning runs coming in the 48th over and for the loss of seven batsmen.
Eversley inflicted a five-wicket defeat on Slough 2nd, with Ali Baig making 73.
Slough were skittled out for 177 in the 40th over, before Baig took precedent with the bat.
Andrew Ruddock and Phil Higgs both took four wickets during Hurst's 45-run success against Odiham & Greywell in Division 4B.
The villagers appeared to have their work cut out after offering a score of 158-7 from 52 overs, but Ruddock and Higgs led from the front as Odiham were all out for 113 inside 41 overs.
Eversley 2nd continue to sit uncomfortably at the wrong end of the table, with latest opponents Stoke Green inflicting a seventh loss of the season on the side currently lying in eighth.
Having been set a target of 201, Eversley were skittled out for 136, losing the encounter by 65 runs.
