By living in close proximity to Reading University our usual encounters with students generally include being woken up in the early hours by disturbances related to the separation of mirrors from cars, alcohol fuelled exchanges and general rowdiness. It was with these thoughts in mind that I wasn’t really looking forward to spending an evening at the student union bar.
