House prices drop for second month in row

October 12, 2010

House prices are dropping but expectations of sales are on the up, according to a survey.

The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors’ (RICS) latest housing market survey shows an increase in the number of houses on the market in Berkshire has caused prices to drop for a second month.

In Berkshire over the past month, 28 per cent more surveyors reported house prices falling than reported them going up, according to the recent survey.

The survey also says that surveyors are anticipating a rise in sales over the next three months brought about by falling prices.
