Women live on £1 a day to highlight poverty problem

Two women lived on just £1 of food a day for a week to highlight world poverty and raise money for charity.

Charlee Bennett and Valerie Cresswell took part in the Live Below The Line campaign, which encourages people to live off a £5 food budget to experience life below the poverty line.

Miss Bennett, 24, and Mrs Cresswell, 76, both from Wokingham, took on the challenge between April 29 to May 3.
