Brides and grooms-to-be in Bracknell do not need to break the bank to get married thanks to a scheme.
Wedding photographer Penny Bevins got seven local companies to join forces and offer discounts to loved-up couples for their big day.
The 28-year-old manager of of Sonrisa Photography in Broadway created a discount booklet that offers money off the companies' servicfes.
Companies in the discount booklet include Sonrisa Photography, hair salon Dave Alan (next-door to Sonrisa), Jayne Ann’s Bridal in Basingstoke, Posterity Video Productions in Woodley, Aldershot-based wedding stationery supplier Creative Toes and C&D Chauffeur Services in Bracknell.
Penny, of Forest Park, said: “I’m aware that with the credit crunch a lot of brides are struggling to afford to have the weddings they want and I thought there must be a way around this.
“I think this is quite unique, I’ve not heard of anything like this being done before.”
She added: “I think it is really important for brides and grooms-to-be to Keep Trade Local.
“I go to a lot of wedding fairs and I can see that there are so many more companies out there than there used to be so it is possible to get everything you need without going far – that way you get a better services as well.”
