SUNNINGHILL CARNIVAL FUN

21/ 5/2003

UP to four thousand people are expected to attend the 27th annual Sunninghill Area Carnival on bank holiday Monday.

Started in 1977 the carnival is truly a community event and is a major day in the calendar for residents of Ascot and Bracknell.

A procession will start in Ascot at 12.30pm and find its way to the Broomhall Recreation Ground in Sunningdale, at about 12.30pm. There will be 12 floats and a live jazz band.

A special addition this year is a photo competition for visitors. Other activities include a football match between Ascot Heath and Swinley Primary Schools, a tug of war competition, a gladiator jousting competition and a quad bike display, as well as 50 craft and refreshment stalls.
