'Smoke' billows from derelict building

By Becky Barnes
March 15, 2013

Smoke billowing from a derelict former council building in Bracknell town centre turned out to be dust.

Fire crews from Bracknell and Wokingham were sent to Enid Wood House, High Street, at 9.45am today (Friday).

Bracknell watch manager Miles Cooper said someone from an office block nearby raised the alarm and reported smoke to be billowing from a window.

The crews found although it looked like smoke from a fire it was in fact dust from construction work with workmen cutting on site.
