Doctors to design local health care

March 14, 2013

From next month Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), made up of GPs in the area, will be responsible for designing local health services.

The Bracknell Forest Society has arranged for Dr William Tong, chair of Bracknell and Ascot Clinical Commissioning Group, and Glyn Jones, director of adult services, health and housing at Bracknell Forest Council, to explain the new arrangement to constituents.

To attend the meeting at Blue Mountain Golf and Conference Centre, Wood Lane, Binfield next Wednesday at 8pm or to submit a question email tbfsinfo@gmail.com.

I asked to meet with Dr Tong and Co with regard to ensuring the NHS comes first not privitisation

That was last year

No response, so can only assume of course conflict of interests!

And we've all been screaming out for another body to be set-up, the CCGs; how many of these will there be around the country? How much responsibility are they designed to remove from elected representatives and place on the shoulders of people who are supposed to be spending their time treating patients?

I can see some major conflicts of interest appearing here. It is no longer the odd GP in the pay of the private companies looking to make money from this but rather the norm.
