Plough Lane to close for waterworks on Monday

By Julie Spencer
March 13, 2013

Plough Lane in Wokingham is closing for water works.

The road, which connects the A329 London Road and Binfield Road, will close from Monday, March 25 so South East Water contractors can install a new water main.

There will be access for businesses and residents during the work. The work is expected to be finished by May 24.

Mavdo it will all depend on how much room is in the road , but i do know there are some very mature trees running on the left hand side ,so there will be a large root protection zone on those probably extending out to at least the centre of the road ,at the end of the day the pipe can only go where there is room to lay it lets say they start at the juction of london road , this would mean three way traffic lights for a start , can you imagine the chaos out on london road best and safest way is a closure in my opinion

@William Richards - because like all the other roads, they are probably putting the new pipe straight down the middle of the road. So you can't get through.
