Top marks for Old Manor in hygiene test

A town centre pub has been awarded top marks in a council hygiene test.

The Old Manor, in Grenville Place, The Ring, was given a five-star rating in Bracknell Forest Council’s Scores on the Doors inspection.

The programme aims to highlight hygiene standards in pubs, restaurants, takeaways and clubs across the borough.

Ian Lynskey, manager at the JD Wetherspoon pub, said: “I am delighted we have gained the top rating and I’m sure our customers will welcome the news too.

“All the staff work hard to ensure the pub offers its customers the highest levels of hygiene at all times and we are delighted our efforts have been recognised with the five star rating.”

Council inspectors judge how hygienic and well-managed the food preparation at each business is.

Well done to the Manor. Just shows what a management change does. No way would it have gained this score when I worked in the kitchen under tweedle dum and tweedle dee. Profit always came before hygiene back then. So again, well done and keep up the good work.
