Two men have been arrested in connection with a suspected arson attack at a home in Sunningdale at the weekend.
The men, aged 50 from Swindon and 52 from Guildford have been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and have been bailed until Saturday, April 27.
They have been arrested in connection with an incident in Heather Drive at around 2am on Sunday where a man in the house woke up to find his front door on fire.
After an investigation, police have revealed they believe the fire was started intentionally.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Con Alistair Marman said: “This is a very serious crime and it is fortunate that the occupant woke up before the fire spread.
“We would urge anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity or any unknown cars in the area at that time in the morning to contact us as a matter of urgency.”
