Accidental bin fire doused with bucket of water

By Jennie Slevin
March 02, 2013

A passer-by dialled 999 after spotting a bin on fire.

A fire crew from Wokingham were called out to the bin in Bull Lane, Priestwood, at 4.30pm today (Saturday).

Firefighter Brian Clements said: "By the time we got there it was basically out, we just chucked a bucket of water over it.

"I don't think it's suspicious, it's most likely accidental."

Of course it is. The safety of Priestwood streets is of the utmost importance to keep our children free from harm. You may think that wanton arson attacks and wild fires are a laughing matter but I do not.
