Dr Phillip Lee holds 'super-hospital' meeting in Slough

By Jennie Slevin
February 19, 2013

Plans to build a 'super hospital' on the M4 will be debated during a meeting with its advocate, Dr Phillip Lee.

The MP for Bracknell Forest will be discussing his vision of a new Thames valley Hospital during a meeting with the people it will serve in Slough.

So far the politician, who also practices as a GP, has held meetings in Bracknell, which he represents in Parliament, Marlow, Maidenhead and High Wycombe.

The Tory, whose plans have caused concern among many of his constituents, believes regional A&E services would be in the best interest of all.

Dr Lee will be meeting anyone interested in the discussion at the Copthorne Slough-Windsor Hotel, Cippenham Lane, on Thursday, February 21 at 7.30pm.

"Has he yet explained how people who don't have a car will get to the new hospital? Its proposed location doesn't have many regular bus and train services from his constituency."

He doesn't care about public transport. He's said as much in correspondence I've had with him in the past.

I suppose we should award him ten out of ten for persistence...Shame we can't say the same about his idea.

I can't believe this cretin has still not understood how irrelevant he is in life and just crawled back under the rock he came from... Quit, Philip, it will be the only decent thing you've ever done for the people of Bracknell. You're never going to make it as a big boy politician, the sooner you realise that the better.

Congratulations Dr lee, you will cut waiting times in one fell swoop. Of course, this will not be due to the super-efficiency of your super-hospital but the fact we are all dying in the backs of ambulances stuck in traffic.

It really is time you faced up to the fact you will not be remembered for any great works but rather as an insignificant footnote, just one more failed MP with delusions of grandeur.

So that's one meeting for his constituents and three for everyone else. Says it all.
