Courtney buses announces timetable change

By Jennie Slevin

A bus company in Bracknell will be updating its timetables, giving users a better daytime service.

Courtney Buses, which has recently replaced many of its vehicles, will be revising its 171 and 172 routes, currently operating on evenings and weekends, to run during the day.

These new schedules will see buses running through to the Eastern Industrial Estate and Jennett’s Park.

Simon Fisher, transport manager for Courtney Buses, said: “After investing heavily in new vehicles, we recognised that many of our customers travelling to the Southern Industrial Estate wanted to travel through from other parts of the town and these changes give customers another option.

“We have reviewed our network at the same time and feel sure that our changes will benefit many existing and new customers.”

The company has been receiving requests from customers to extend the Sunday 194 route, which runs from The Meadows in Sandhurst into Camberley.

Simon added: “As an additional bonus, customers purchasing our Bracknell weekly and monthly tickets will be able to use them to travel to The Meadows and Camberley on Sundays.”

The 108 service from Jennett’s Park, which last year had to be stopped due to vandals throwing stones at buses, will also be improved to coincide with train services calling at Bracknell.
