Thieves steal computers from parked cars

By Jennie Slevin
February 06, 2013

Cars parked outside a Sandhurst restaurant have been targeted by thieves.

The two vehicles, parked at Rackstraw Farm in Yorktown Road, College Town had their windows smashed to gain access into the cars overnight between Monday, February 4 and Tuesday, Febrary 5.

One had computer equipment stolen while nothing was taken from the other.

A laptop was also stolen from the boot of a car parked at Tesco in County Lane, Warfield at lunchtime on Tuesday, Febrary 5.

A police spokeswoman said: "We would remind members of the public to remove items from vehicles, especially when parked in car parks.

"If you have to carry items such as laptops in your car, where you can, take them with you when you leave the vehicle.

"If you do have to leave items in your car, put them in the boot before you start your journey, try not to load the boot in an open car park, you never know who is watching!"

Anyone with information about these incidents should call Bracknell Police Station or Thames Valley Police on 101, or to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
