More snow followed by heavy rain this weekend

More snow is expected to fall in Bracknell and and Wokingham area overnight tonight.

The Met Office has issued a yellow severe weather warning for snow and ice across London and South East England with an amber warning for areas further north including the Midlands and Chiltern Hills.

The warning says snow will continue across parts of eastern England during the early hours of Saturday morning, although it may turn briefly to rain as it clears.

Some heavy snowfall may occur, particularly towards the north of the amber warning area, and across the Chilterns, where five to 10 centimetres of snowfall may accumulate in just two or three hours. The sleet and snow will ease and then clear before dawn.

Temperatures are expected to remain just above freezing tonight and tomorrow morning before rising on Sunday morning to as much as 10°C when the snow is expected to be replaced by heavy rain. This rain, combined with water from melted snow could lead to some localised flooding.

The Met Office are warning the public to be prepared for some disruption, particularly to travel, within the affected area.

Neither of those two maps from the Met Office show any snow coming anywhere near Bracknell. The BBC weather maps show all local precipitation falling as rain. I think we're safe now. :-)
