By Jennie Slevin
January 23, 2013

Firefighters said a family 'did the right thing' after a dishwasher fire started in their home.

Crews from Bracknell and Wokingham were called out to the house in Gloucestershire Lea, Warfield at 9pm last night (Tuesday).

Michael Fulwell, Bracknell fire station watch manager said: "The family were in and said it went from very little to quite a lot in a short space of time.

"They did the right thing though, the closed the doors, called for help and left the property."

The teams spent between 45 minutes to an hour putting out the fire and the family were safe.
