Learn how to save energy at Bracknell Forest Homes course

By Jennie Slevin
January 16, 2013

An energy  awareness course will be held to help the environment and reduce bills.

The workshop organised by Bracknell Forest Homes aims to give concerned bill payers advice on how to lower costs and energy usage.

Linda Wells, housing and community services director at Bracknell Forest Homes, said: “We appreciate every little saving can make a big difference in the current economic climate.

“Many of our customers will be affected by welfare benefit reform and this advice may help people cope with some of the reduction in their income.”

The advice will also include how to use heating controls most effectively, explaining which home appliances use the most power, tips for reading utility bills and meters, plus billing options and changing tariffs or suppliers to get the most suitable deal.

The workshop takes place on Thursday, January 17 at BFH’s Berkshire Court office in Western Road from 10am to 4pm.

To book a place call Emma Lord on (01344) 382 912.

Good of Bracknell Forest Homes to do this. But once again they forget that many people work during the day and cannot get to these workshops. Same as Customer involvement groups and neighbourhood meetings, all done during the daytime, when many of the people who actually put their hands in their own pockets to pay rent can't take part ... and they wonder why attendance is low!
