Katie Beck, 25, corporate fundraiser at Thames Hospicecare
What is your favourite food? I love too much food! Savoury- minted lamb roast dinner that my Mum makes. Sweet- chocolate pudding with the melt in the middle inside….
What is your favourite holiday destination? My favourite country in the world is Iceland. It has everything! Blue lagoon, husky riding, whale watching, the world’s most dangerous zoo where the animals aren’t even behind proper bars or in cages. Mental, but so much fun!
What was the last book you read? Hunger Games trilogy. It’s amazing! Although, I then watched the first film and the book is so much better. I won’t be watching the following two films, I prefer to imagine the characters and scenes.
What is your favourite TV programme? I hate to admit it, but Junior Apprentice. They are hilarious. Not only are they more intelligent than the adult one, they are so funny. They happily tell each other the other is stupid and scream and shout, they don’t hold back at all. Hilarious TV.
What was your first pet and its name? My first pet is still my current pet. A lovely old cat called Tango, she is 17 and still going strong!
What is your favourite film? I’m 25 years old and my favourite film is the Disney classic Cinderella. Let’s be honest, every girl dreams of meeting a guy like that!
What painting or photo do you have on your wall or desk? I have a poster of Ed Sheeran. He is my favourite artist, he is amazing. Fab songs and it is rare to find such a talented song writer as well. Who else can rock a two hour show just him and his guitar?! He is the definition of ‘proper music’ to me.
Who would your ideal dinner guests be? I would host a Come Dine With Me, and invite all of One Direction. I can’t cook, and I assume they can’t cook either. We can just bake fairy cakes, eat crisps and they can become my new best friends.
What car do you drive? I have a1997 VW Polo. It’s pretty old, been driving it seven years now but it’s very reliable, never lets me down!
What is your biggest regret? I went travelling around Thailand for six weeks. I was offered to stay longer but I had to start university. I always look back and think I should have stayed longer and deferred uni by a year. But I plan to go back soon on holiday so you can’t keep me away.
What makes you smile? Just spending good time with family and friends. I’m a really social person so love going new places and having a laugh with my friends.
What was your first job? I was a check out girl in Waitrose. I can’t complain, it was a decent first job! I still remember the codes of all the fruit and veg – sad but true.
What hobby/hobbies do you have? I have learnt to swim this year, had six lessons so far. Finally achieved my first length last week with no help. This is my new hobby, I’ve become a real Nemo since I’ve hit the water.
What do you like about Bracknell Forest? It pretty much has everything. Close to London, things to do. Lots of my friends live around the area so easy to socialise with them. Not forgetting some of our hospice fundraising events that take place here.
What is the one thing you would like to change about Bracknell Forest and why? Car parking charges at the Look Out.
If someone could ask you one question what would it be and what would your answer be? It would probably “when are you free to have tea with Ed Sheeran?” and I would reply “tomorrow at 3pm?”
